Shakespeare and Co.

Back in July
when we first arrived in Paris
and still living out of hotels...
we visited Shakespeare and Company.
Now, I know I've said this before..but..
this was THE place I wanted to find first.
I love to read
I love books
I love bookstores.
And Shakespeare and Co
did not disappoint.
It was everything I imagined.
Cozy,
charming,
"no photos s'il vous plait"
books old and new
a piano to play
and a nook upstairs to
read a book to a child and sign the wall.
 The first book I purchased
was The Little Prince.
And they stamp it for you.

I've been back a few times since.
One evening we stopped by
before having dinner in the Latin Quarter
and it was closed for a wedding.
Can you imagine having your wedding there?
Lovely.
Here are a few photos I snuck in with my iphone.

  5. I love this store and have been whenever I get to go to Paris. Its lovely and feels so historic. There is a really good ice cream shop right down the way too with cinnamon ice cream you could just die for! So jealous of your Paris adventures!
