Shakespeare and Co.

Back in July
when we first arrived in Paris
and still living out of hotels...
we visited Shakespeare and Company.
Now, I know I've said this before..but..
this was THE place I wanted to find first.
I love to read
I love books
I love bookstores.
And Shakespeare and Co
did not disappoint.
It was everything I imagined.
"no photos s'il vous plait"
books old and new
a piano to play
and a nook upstairs to
read a book to a child and sign the wall.
 The first book I purchased
was The Little Prince.
And they stamp it for you.

I've been back a few times since.
One evening we stopped by
before having dinner in the Latin Quarter
and it was closed for a wedding.
Can you imagine having your wedding there?
Here are a few photos I snuck in with my iphone.

  1. This place looks like heaven to me. I bet a wedding there would be so charming and cozy,

  2. You're such a rebel Pam! :-) It looks lovely. I can imagine sipping on coffee/tea and enjoying a good book. Love!

  3. You know I love this! Thanks for coming back and sharing Pam!

  4. that is just beautiful! thank you for sharing and letting us live this Paris adventure vicariously through you!

  5. I love this store and have been whenever I get to go to Paris. Its lovely and feels so historic. There is a really good ice cream shop right down the way too with cinnamon ice cream you could just die for! So jealous of your Paris adventures!

  6. ooh already happy to know it was all you dreamt of!
