Weekend Away

Steve and I went to NYC for the weekend.
It's been too long since we've gone away...alone.
I was totally stressed about going
and leaving my mom here with 4 kids and a puppy.
Right before we left
I told Steve we should just forget it.
It just seemed like it was not worth all the stress.
I was wrong.

I needed to get away from
my house
my dog
and yes
even my kids.
The month of September was the busiest
I've ever had.
And this past weekend
was just what we both needed.

Thanks Mom
for making this weekend happen for us!

  2. good for you! Looks like fun! I always say that to my husband before we go out for a night or a very very rare overnight. I get so stressed trying to pull it off that I always say, forget it. But end up loving it! So glad you were able to go! see any shows?

  4. I am glad that you got to do that. Sometimes you just need to take a break and spend time with your better half! I already have a sitter booked for a weekend in January...I am counting the minutes.

  5. It is so hard to get away and I identify with everything you wrote about feeling like it can't be worth all the prep and stress! But as soon as I walk out the door, I relax and realize it was just the right thing. So glad you guys escaped, and to NYC - how fun is that??!!
