This is the time of year
that the cranberries are harvested.
There is a bog across the street and
I pass it every day.
A million times a day.
And it's been so beautiful to watch.
Every day
rain or shine
warm or cool temperatures
he is out there.
I think his name is Chuck.
And I think he's in his 70's.
He has no idea
but every time I drive by him
he inspires me.
Thanks Chuck.
And seeing all those beautiful red cranberries
makes me want to make my Nana's
I'll post the recipe on
my cooking blog.
One of these days.
:)
Oh love these pictures ~ such gorgeous red berries ~ I love cranberries!! We've been adding them to our juicing concoctions lately ~ they're so abundant this time of year. Which reminds me, I need to stock the freezer. Are you able to pick some of those berries right from the bog?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your note, hope tomorrow is better too!
Oh I look forward to the recipe!!

That's so amazing. I can't believe you live next to something so beautiful like that. I've never seen a cranberry blog in person - only on the Ocean Spray commercials. :) Thanks for sharing the great pics. I'd love to get the recipe for your grandmother's bread sometime too!
ReplyDeletesuper cool bogs, pam ... none of that going on here on the north shore ;-) makes us seem a world apart even though it's probably less that an hour!
