save your jars?
I have quite a collection let me tell you.
Everything from pickle jars, artichoke jars, cherry jars, jam jars...
I save them.
I try and find interesting ways to repurpose them.
I have been wanting to make these cupcakes in a jar
that I've been seeing all over the internet.
These are red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
Could not be easier or cuter I think.
Lunch box treats for sure.
Won't this jar be cute for sipping milk?
Yes! I keep all my jars too. But BSD has now acquired all of them to do surfboard repairs with. *sigh* No cute cupcakes in a jar around here.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud. I am a simple person. I throw things away all the time. I'm always decluttering. BUT, I LOVE keeping jars. Pickle jars and salsa jars are my favorites. When I wash one out, I hold it forever and look at it and wonder what I can use it for next. :))
ReplyDeleteI just started saving all of my jars as well. I use them for fresh homemade salad dressings or for props for my cooking blog. I have one similar to the hot chocolate one pictured above and my kids love using those paper straws and sipping their milk from it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, were totally helping mother earth when we re-use items!
I save jars too...and I have wanted to do cupcakes in a jar...yours look so good!
ReplyDeletei do keep cute jars, but then i have trouble finding a use for them other than as a vase ... then hubby gets crazy about the clutter - clearly i'm not thinking hard enough, though, yours are being put to awesome use - love it!!
ReplyDeleteoh that looks soooo yummy and special for a lunch box. I've got to start saving more jars! I save the unusual ones for the girls play "kitchen" but I've never thought of using them for lunchbox fun! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI have only recently begun saving my jars and I'm not even sure why. I think I just love clear glass, so any jars that have a pretty or re-usable shape I've been hanging onto lately. That is until my husband tosses them, lol. Great pictures. That cupcake in a jar idea is awesome and your little one, adorable!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen/heard of cupcakes in a jar. How cool!
