Ronda, Spain

we are home.
and we had an amazing
vacation on the costa del sol!
as hannah says..
it was a nice balance of rest
and sightseeing.
we spent the first few sunny
days hanging by the pool
and the beach.
we stayed at the marriott marbella
resort.
plenty to do for all of us.

on monday we drove up and over
a mountain to the lovely town of ronda.
with it's pont neuf (new bridge)
that was built in 1751..and took 42 years
to construct..
and the oldest bullring in andalusia (1784)
ronda was a great day trip from marbella.
a few of us were a little queasy driving
up the windy mountain road..
but once we arrived the views from the bridge
down through the gorge were breathtaking.
we stayed late and enjoyed a delicious
dinner of paella and tapas of course!

pretty spanish tiles

this was just ronda!
we traveled to gibraltar
and mijas during our stay as well.
more to come this week!

while we were away,
my mom came to paris with
her best girlfriend from high school!
they stayed here in our flat..
and when we arrived home last night
at 9 pm..
the table was set,
and my mom's spaghetti and
meatballs were waiting for us.
thanks mom and di!
so glad you had a wonderful trip too!

  4. It looks so gorgeous! Calgon take me away! ;) So happy that you all had such a great time (the pictures are proof--what a happy family) and that you had the pleasure of a home-cooked meal from Mom to boot (since we are never too old to love that). Will look forward to the rest!

  6. This is a very good picture https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CX8RWEl3Zuc/UmudH1hxuAI/AAAAAAAAIA8/XmgNZoUqPk4/s0/DSC_1048.JPG I displayed the boy life size and the picture is so clear and sharp he appeared to be directly in front of me! My heart literally skipped a beat because he is so frickin cute and it appeared he was looking at me and smiling at me! The display is warm and smooth so I leaned close an began kissing him. I was like OMG! It seemed like I was really kissing him. I took my time. Kissing him all over and enjoying each kiss to the fullest! It seemed like he was all mine. At one point I ran my tongue around his ear and was kissing his ear and whispering sweet things to him. I am going to put this little beauty on display life size in my bedroom in one of my large digital picture displays. It is going to be awesome!
