A Sunday Brocante

steve and i had date afternoon
instead of date night yesterday.
we happened upon a brocante
at porte maillot..close to our flat.

most of the vendors were showing
pieces way out of our price range.
but it's always fun to look.
there was one tent with some
cool metal vintage shelves
and storage pieces.
i'm regretting not buying one..
i loved them all!

vintage toys and board games

kitchen scales and weights

lovely tea cups

gorgeous glassware..
and one of those decanters
came home with us!

pretty silver

i told steve i wanted this
beautiful linen couch for christmas.

it was a wonderful afternoon..
after strolling the brocante
we stopped at a cafe for
french onion soup,
a carafe of wine
and a cheese plate.
i love living here.

  2. you know i have a weakness for industrial, but FRENCH industrial? i wouldn't stand a chance.
and that little sofa is adorable! i am picturing it with a big cream ribbon next to your tree.
santa could use it to put all the presents on, so steve had better get it early : )

  5. Oh... I love that sofa too. It would go really well with my three year old and my dog! Maybe in my next life!! I took the plunge and bought some industrial antiques at Chatou last week. So happy with my new computer desk (formerly a bistro table) and chair.
