Some Views...

so.. the past week has
been trying.
i've been at the hospital,
doctors office,
having tests done.
something going on in my
head and neck.
a pinched nerve maybe.
degenerative disk disease?
whatever it is..
i've been in major pain.
i've been wearing a neck brace
and now count the minutes
until my next dose of pain medication.
nothing matters when you don't have
your health.
but life goes on.

christmas spirit is slow
coming this year.
i know we'll get there..
yesterday i sat here..

and wrote out christmas cards.
probably one of my favorite
activities this time of year.
we send them all over the world..
(we've moved 10 times in 20 years!)
it's nice to reflect on each person/family we're
sending to for a few minutes.
many that we haven't seen in years.
with each card i say a little prayer
for that family for the coming year.

i love my sweet little kitchen.

we were worried buddy
couldn't find our new apartment!

les invalides at dusk..
my favorite time of day here.

early morning view of
sacre coeur.

morning view of
trocadero and the
christmas market.

i hope your
christmas season is
a happy and healthy one!

  1. Pam, I am so sorry to hear about your head and neck pain, that is terrible. That you are wearing a neck brace speaks volumes and I hope that they find a solution as soon as possible. Have you ever tried acupuncture? I am wondering if that could help ease the pain in the meantime. You will be in my thoughts.

And I also want to apologize for having been awol here for so long! I honestly don't know how that happened! But it has been quite fun getting caught up and I am thrilled for you and your family to have found such an amazing new apartment. That you appreciate it all so much is what makes it extra special.

    Gros Bisous from Arles,

  2. I really hope the pain goes away soon. I'm really sorry you have been through this, especially at this time of year. I love your lil kitchen too. So easy to clean! And, how did Buddy get the best seat in the house?

  3. I hope they figure out what's wrong. I'm having a very minor health problem myself, and you never notice your health until you're not healthy. Stay strong!

  4. so sorry that you're hurting.
oh, that early morning sacre coeur photo...

  5. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Once again beautiful pictures. I could imagine what it looks like looking out your window at night.

  6. Your photos are stunning!! Feel better and have a lovely weekend! xoxo

  7. Praying you are back to your old self again soon! BTW how can I follow you on Instagram?

  8. The first image is incredible. I can't believe you took that from your home. It is gorgeous. I am so sorry to hear you are in pain. That is so hard. It is exhausting to experience chronic pain. I hope you can find some answers and relief. I bet your elf could win a best location!

  9. Hope you feel better Pam...beautiful photos. I need your address!
