A Good Year

merry christmas and
happy new year!
looking back on 2013
i feel nothing but blessed.
the health and happiness of
my family of course..
but this year has been filled
amazing adventures..
reaching important milestones..
trying new things..
meeting new people..
learning new cultures..
i can only hope for this
coming year to be
as rewarding.

this year i..
turned my blog into a book.
this is the reason i write this blog.
to remember the days and years
of our little family.
the last photo i put in an album
was around 2002.
i don't scrapbook.
so my blog book documents
our life.
and i love it!

i miss our tradition of
throwing out the old in the
fireplace new years eve..
and writing good thoughts for the new
year on rocks and throwing them in the
ocean on new years day.
you can read about them
...i'm sure we could throw a rock
in the seine?

christmas morning.
griff looks overwhelmed non?

merci 2013.
you were good to us.
happy new years eve!!

  1. Hi Pam! Happy New Year to you and your family. I love your New Year's traditions. I really enjoy reading your blog. I am amazed at the photo of the Christmas tree - the tower in the background looks fake (although I know it isn't) It' beautiful. Take Care! - Laurie

  2. Dear Pam. I highly encourage you to throw rocks in the Seine. You would not be the first one to throw something in the venerable old river, and trust me, it has seen a lot worse :-) I am so happy your family enjoyed the good life in 2013. Here's to many more good moments in 2014! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  3. Oh yes, you got a Christmas Tree! Yipee!
Yes, go throw your rocks girl!
    Happy New Year friend!

  4. Happy new year. I have wanted to make my blog into a book but do not know how. How did you do it?

  5. Definitely go throw them in the Seine!! What a memory that will make! Happy New Year Pam.

  6. Happy New Year, Pam! You should definitely toss the rocks in the Seine...what a great tradition! Your Christmas photo with "la tour" as the backdrop is amazing! Cheers to a happy and healthy 2014! xoxo

  7. The first picture is just beautiful!
I have been thinking of turning my blog into a book for the family as well....who did you use?

  8. Cheers to a beautiful new year ahead filled with great health, fabulous adventures, lots of laughter and love! xxoo
