Happy 2016!

Bonjour!
And thank you for
the emails regarding our
whereabouts!

I seem to need to take a break
from blogging from
December to January.
I hope to be here more often
now that we are back to
school and work.

I'm going to go way back
to November to catch up.

I've been trying to visit as many
new places as I can..as this is most likely
our last year here in Paris.

So..
I found myself on this cold, rainy
late November day
walking around the Palais-Royal in
the 1st arrondissement.
I had gone over that way
to vist an herboristerie..
a little shop that sells vitamins,
herbs, teas etc.

I haven't been very good
about taking my good camera
out with me..
I'm glad I did on this day!

After walking around
in the rain and the cold..
I went to Verjus for lunch.
I had been dying to try the
fried chicken sandwich and
it did not disappoint!

And...
 we decided to fly Stephen
home for Thanksgiving!
This was the first year
since living in Paris
that we celebrated Thanksgiving
on the actual holiday.
Hannah and Will had a long weekend,
Steve took the day off from work
and we kept Griffin home from school.
It was so nice to be together.

And Griff lost his first tooth!

I'll catch up
more tomorrow!

Happy New Year!

  3. I've always enjoyed reading your posts. So glad that you are safe, and were able to enjoy Thanksgiving with all of your children. I was so glad when UM changed the Thanksgiving vacation a few years ago so that students could enjoy the entire week off with their families; even though we live much, much closer than you, I always look forward to spending time with my soon-to-be graduate and her siblings. Wishing you blessings for the New Year!

  4. Oh no! Where did you go? I just noticed you are no longer on Instagram either. I hope everything is okay.

    All the best,
