griff and i took
some time away from
unpacking boxes yesterday
and walked around our
new neighborhood.
it was such a beautiful day
here in the city.
we walked across
the champs de mars
to rue cler..
a favorite street of mine.
we stopped for a
chocolate chaud,
cafe creme
and a nutella crepe.
the shops and cafe's are getting
ready for christmas.
it's so pretty lit up at night.
this little specialty food shop
was beautiful.
just look at those panettone
hanging from the ceiling!!
i couldn't decide what to get!
flowers and greenery
and of course i had to
get a picture of these
gorgeous chippy blue
tolix chairs.
still pinching myself.
Very familiar with your new neighborhood.....especially Rue Cler! We always enjoy eating at Cafe Du Marche. I 'd be pinching myself too,
ReplyDeleteI'm pinching myself for you!
ReplyDeleteDid you get a pannetone? It makes great bread pudding and french toast!
why can't everyday life, my plain old american rue, be this beautiful?
ReplyDelete{those little christmas trees look like they are flocked.}
p.s. maybe the best tolix chairs i've seen.
ReplyDeletei thought i wanted steel, but now i want chippy rue blue.
Ah, my favorite Paris street. I have a framed photo of the kids walking down that sweet street. Thanks for another peek! I'm just a wee bit jealous!
ReplyDeleteAnd here you are, Rue Cler, in Rick Steves' territory :-) My guess is you will get to meet a lot of Americans around the 'hood, and that will come in handy when you get homesick! :-) Congrats on the new "maison parisienne…" Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteSpeechless, dear Pam.
ReplyDeleteI love viewing Paris through the eyes and heart of an American girl.
...ahhhh the Panettone!
(Sounds like I am no longer speechless!)

ReplyDeleteHi. So I'm thinking you might need to change the name to views from my Parisian balcony. Wowza!
ReplyDeleteI returned home from Paris just prior to Christmas , after spending six weeks there. We walked this street several times....it brings back so many wonderful images....Paris is sooooo beautiful, but especially at Christmas!!
