this weekend was another full one.
saturday, steve put stephen's room together...
his desk, bed, dresser, bookshelf...
all from ikea.
it looks great and stephen is happy.
sunday we spent the day here
le jardin d'acclimation.
it was a great way to spend the day with the kids
and it's within walking distance to our flat.
there is so much to do there.
plenty of rides for the big and small
nutella pannini's
water park
radio control boats
and so much more we didn't even get to.
there are puppet shows, pony rides, and
many different workshops for children and adults.
it does cost 3 euro per person for entry
(about 4 dollars)
and the carnival type rides all require tickets
but there are many attractions that are free.
it is open 365 days a year...
i think griffy and i will be regulars.
last thursday, steve and i started a detox.
who moves to paris and stops eating? well..
we both hit our rock bottom...
after a summer of living out of hotels
and eating out every meal...
we decided to put an end to the madness.
thursday and friday we did not eat.
anything.
water, herbal tea.
that's it.
starting saturday we could start eating
fruits/vegetables and a cup of brown rice.
man, did that banana and roasted broccoli taste good.
we still have a few more days to go.
i feel good. most of the time.
what i'm hoping i gain from this is...
to lose my constant carb/sugar cravings.
to lose a few pounds.
to reset my body.
i still crave bread/pasta ....but not sugar.
and i've lost 10 pounds!
Lovely photos...looks like the weather was beautiful in Paris over the weekend! Have a good week:)

Looks like a fun place. I especially LOVE the first pic!
ReplyDeleteQuestion. Are you eating the veggies/fruit/rice at each meal or once a day?
